Well I can’t say this month has been as successful, at least as far as the third book is concerned. I am about 2/3 of the way done, but I’m refocused on finishing the manuscript and sending it in to the editor. I must admit I’ve been jumping around a bit, outlining a four book series set in 4th century Rome to work on once the fourth Cnut book is complete, as well as three ideas for spin-off novels of the Cnut series.
I am officially back to work on Cnut: Revenge of a Viking Warrior. I had to rework some of it so that the book didn’t end up too large and the last thing I want to do as an author is turn into George Martin and turn a three book series into a seven book series. I want the Cnut series to be four books and that is what I’m striving for. With that said, that meant I had to go back and tidy up the first 2oo hundred pages before continuing on with where I’m at. I expect the third book to be around the same length as the second book and I am hoping to have it in the editor’s hands by mid-August. The December release date is still on target.
I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and I’ll update again when the manuscript is finished.
